Cuero Native Graduates as Second Lieutenant in US Marine Corps

Jacob Cuellar, a 2019 graduate of Cuero High School, recently achieved a significant milestone in his military career. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas San Antonio in May 2023, Jacob pursued further training at Officer Candidate School (OCS) from January 14 to March 23, 2024. His dedication and perseverance paid off as he successfully graduated from OCS at Quantico, VA, earning the rank of second lieutenant in the US Marine Corps.

Following the termination of the county election administrator, Melissa Alcazar, on May 6, the conduct of elections will temporarily default to County Clerk Natalie Carson, Fowler said.
