Your Fightin’ Cuero Gobblers beat Gonzales 10-2 last Friday. Caleb Nagel and Colton Strelczyk led the Gobblers with three RBI each. Elijah De Leon had two RBI for Cuero. Eli Garrett pitched a complete game, giving up only four hits while striking out three.

Your 2024 Lady Gobblers varsity softball team remained undefeated after beating Navarro 11-8 last Tuesday to secure their second consecutive District Championship. The back to back Champs used the long ball, hitting six home runs vs Navarro.

The Yorktown Kitty Kat and Wildcat track teams competed in the District 31-2A/32-2A Area Track Meet held at Javelina Stadium in Kingsville, Texas, this past Thursday, April 11, 2024. It was an exciting day for the teams, as six individuals and four relays advanced, and there were two school records broken.

A 50th Anniversary celebration recently occurred honoring Donna & Stanley Fuchs who are from Cuero, Texas. The couple married March 2, 1974, at St. John Lutheran Church in Lindenau, Texas. Donna and Stanley have created a beautiful life with three amazing sons along with their spouses: Troy (Christi), Kyle (Tracy) and Randall (Kylea), and they are blessed with seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The family gathered in Fredericksburg, Texas for the weekend to celebrate the love and dedication of the past 50 years.

Your Fightin' Cuero Gobblers Varsity baseball team unloaded on San Antonio Memorial 23-0 last week, and then finished the week by falling to La Vernia 6-1. They will face Navarro at home on Friday, April 12th.

Your Fightin’ Lady Gobblers secured a tough home victory against La Vernia last Friday. Lainee Ballin and Bromli Watson both launched homers and each had two runs batted in for Cuero. Alexis Flessner and Camdyn Lange each added an RBI to secure the 6-5 victory.

Nordheim will be sending Tristan Infante to Regionals in golf. He placed 2nd in the varsity boys.

The Nordheim Pirates and Lady Pirates brought home lots of hardware April 4th at their District Track Meet advancing almost every athlete to the Area Meet.
